Showit pricing plans and features

Showit has 3 tiers to choose from, and breaks them down simply. The first tier is Showit or “Showit Basic” and its features are included across the other two tiers as well. It includes the Showit website builder and hosting, an SSL (https) secure certificate, and regular backups to protect against any loss of site content.

The next two tiers are Showit with a WordPress Blog. The reason Showit has two different tiers of Showit with a WordPress blog, are because one is what is known as a managed wordpress, and the other (advanced) is not managed. Both have daily backups, are hosted using the industry leading WP Engine, and both are fantastic options for users looking for creative freedom and blogging power.

Managed in this sense means that you have “white listed” or pre-approved plugins to use to cover the very basic but efficient plugins that the majority of users use. The Advanced tier gives you more of a traditional WordPress setup. This means that you can add any and all plugins that you would like. This is the best and worst thing about WordPress. The advanced blog option also includes blog migration from a previous WordPress setup, or Squarespace.

Choosing the right Showit pricing plan for your needs

We have been in business since 2009, and the easiest and best decision we ever made was to have a Showit website. Showit and the internet looked drastically different over 15 years ago, but one thing has remained the same: Showit’s dedication to creative freedom. This has allowed us to grow our website presence as our skills, clients, and pricing has grown.

Choosing the right plan really comes down to two factors in my opinion. Are you starting to blog now, or have you been blogging for a while?

Blogging consistently is one of the best indicators of future financial success. It is one of the very few marketing platforms that you as a business have full control over, and “own”. You don’t get that with any social media platform, and only email compares with its intentional reach.

If you are new to blogging, the Showit & Basic Starter blog is the perfect. It has the plugin’s you need, and the power you deserve. It takes the guess work out of WordPress, which can be very complex.

If you have been blogging for a while, or are ready to add e-commerce to your site, then Showit & Advanced Blog will help you take your business to the next level. The freedom of design (bless you Showit), with the blogging power of WordPress, and the ability to add more complex plugins and e-commerce options is a game changer.

Comparing Showit pricing with other website builders

(pricing info as of Feb’ 24)

Showit’s pricing is on par with other competitors such as Squarespace, Wix, WordPress, Weebly, etc. The MAJOR difference between Showit and Squarespace is the freedom to use tools that you want vs. being forced to use Squarespaces platform. A more comprehensive breakdown between Showit and Squarespace here.

Showit vs Squarespace pricing

The breakdown between Wix and Showit is even more straightforward. Wix had many more tiers of plans from $16-32/month, but none offer a blog, all have limits on lead capture forms, and even the $32/month option has 100 transaction limit for e-commerce.

Tips for maximizing the value of your Showit pricing plan

To maximize the value of your Showit plan, you can utilize free plugins either on the Showit & Basic Starter blog, or the Showit & Advanced blog.

For the Starter blog, use Yoast, a great tool for getting started with SEO and making sure your blog posts align with keywords and phrases that you want to be found for. Jetpack, a great tool with some basic marketing tools built in. Redirection, to help with any internal broken links. A full list of available plugins in the Starter blog here.

With the Advanced Blog, use plugins like All-in-One SEO. A more robust SEO option to help stay on track with your keywords and phrases. The free version is full of goodies. CoSchedule, a tool that you can freely use to share your blog posts across multiple social media platforms all from the comfort of your blog.
